About Heather

I moved here with a suitcase
and a plan.

I moved to the Netherlands with a suitcase, a plan, and absolutely no idea how the Dutch job market actually worked. Nobody warned me about the cold-ish culture, the four-hour interviews ending in a polite rejection, or the BSN paperwork you need before you can do basically anything.

I figured it out — eventually. Now I help other people skip the part where you cry in the kitchen at 11PM, wondering if you made a mistake. I work in People Ops, L&D, and AI talent recruitment, and I hold an MSc in Culture from Radboud University.
